Cinnamon & Honey Butter

The world’s BEST Cinnamon & Honey butter!

Pancakes, French toast, cinnamon bread and surprisingly grilled chicken breasts love this compound butter.

I love using this cinnamon and honey butter in place of maple syrup for our camp French toast or waffles. The spicy cinnamon and that sweet honey are the perfect flavor compliment. If you are lucky enough to live in an area that has beekeepers or local honey farms then you can change the flavor of this compound butter with all the varieties of honey available to you.

Clover honey will give you a mild, sweet and flavorful taste.

Wildflower honey will deliver a sweet and grassy flavor depending on the wildflowers the bees have found.

Citrus honeys are bright and floral, with a touch of vanilla and even clove depending on which type of citrus flower the bees collected the nectar from.

You can find orange blossom, lemon, grapefruit or a combination of all three in most grocery stores and farmers markets.

  • 2 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 Tablespoon wildflower or clover honey
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt


  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and place in a small freezable container, will keep for up to 3 months. Best on biscuits, cornbread, pancakes, waffles, roasted sweet potatoes, grilled chicken and pork.
